| Conducting eBusiness over the Internet |

Anderson Software has provided EDI processing software for a number of companies. EDI is a method of exchanging purchase order information between companies. Unfortunately the systems that support EDI are often proprietary and expensive to deploy. More modern business-to-business system integration is been achieved using XML message transfer using Biztalk server, and Web Services. Anderson Software is able to provide consultancy services in both these areas. Biztalk ServerIntegrating your company's internal applications has traditionally been difficult. Integrating them with external customers and suppliers has been even harder. But with BizTalk Server, you can address all of your integration challenges from the enterprise to the Internet. The following illustration gives one example of orchestrating your business from internal applications to cross-company business processes.
Web services are software applications that supply "services" across the Internet. They "listen" for request from remote clients, perform some processing (the service), and then return a response to the caller. The client and the service computers can be any where in the world, and providing they speak the same language (communications protocol) they can be completely different computer architectures. A typical example might be a supplier, such as Amazon, who provides a web service to allow customers to interrogate stock availability or lead-time, and place orders directly into his order-processing system - the so called "supply chain integration". However, this is not a browser interface for buyers to place their orders but a secure and controlled integration of business systems. |
